On April 25, the National Honor Society at Bonny Eagle High School inducted eight sophomores into the organization. The students included Andrew Cardamone, Alyssa Dunn, Ariel Martin-Hunt, Christopher Kelley, Lyndie Libby, Katherine Pagano, Crystal Stack and Katherine Thomas.
Andrew Cardamone is the son of Michael and Pamela Cardamone from Hollis. Andrew is involved in chorus, select chorus, drama club, natural helpers, key club, RFA, SPIDA, the Thespian Society and he is a class officer for the class of 2007. He has challenged himself throughout high school taking honors courses and has received numerous awards. He also volunteers at the Little Paws Animal Shelter.
Alyssa Dunn is the daughter of Cynthia Dunn Spaulding from Standish. She is involved in many activities such as field hockey, softball, the BEHS concert and pep bands, and various hockey teams including the high school varsity team, the Maine Select Women’s Tier 1 team, and The Renegade Midget Tier 2 Boys team. She has challenged herself throughout high school and volunteers with many fundraising activities to support athletic and musical groups and her family,s landscaping business.
Ariel Martin-Hunt is the daughter of Guy Hunt and Lin Martin-Hunt of Buxton. She is a member of Amnesty International, the Band & Wind Ensemble, Key Club and Natural Helpers. Ariel also dances and plays the piano. She volunteers with many organizations Camp Sunshine, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Maine Medical Center, Soup Kitchen, and the volunteer lawyers project. Ariel has consistently challenged herself throughout high school. She is also an active youth advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Christopher Kelley is the son of David and Sharon Kelley of Limington. He is a member of the football team and participates in Boy Scouts, where he has taken on many leadership positions. Christopher has done various volunteer activities as a Boy Scout such as building bleachers, helping out with a blood drive, and collecting donations for the Standish Food Pantry. He is also a junior fire fighter for the Limington Fire Department.
Lyndie Libby is the daughter of Jeffrey and Pennie Libby of Buxton. She participates in softball, basketball, soccer, and is a member of the Standish Sno-Seekers Snowmobile Club. She has also carried many leadership positions such as freshman softball captain and an assistant coach for the Yes to Youth basketball team and the Maine Shock U-16 AAU basketball team. Lyndie has challenged herself during high school taking difficult courses and has received numerous awards. She also volunteers with youth basketball, the Beacon House, and the Sno-Seekers Snowmobile Club.
Katherine Pagano is the daughter of Robert and Gisele Pagano of Hollis. She is involved in many activities such as cross country, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, plays the violin with the BEHS music program and was a 1st violinist at the District One Music Festival, and is involved with Horseback Training. She has held leadership positions as the assistant track coach at Bonny Eagle Middle School for two years in middle and long distance running. Katherine also has volunteered with the March of Dimes.
Crystal Stack is the daughter of Don and Sue Stack of Buxton. She is involved in FBLA, Key Club, performs Irish Step Dance, and is a class officer for the class of 2007. Crystal has held leadership positions in these activities and was also a teen leader for the Little Farmers 4H club, appointed ME state representative from the 1st Congregational Church of Buxton at the National Youth Event, and is a spokesperson for the Tory Hill Youth Group. Crystal volunteers with many organizations such as Tory Hill Youth Group, the 1st Congregational Church, and the 4H group.
Katherine Thomas is the daughter of Allen and Gloria Thomas. She participates in many organizations such as chorus, basketball, drama club, tennis, natural helpers, the BEHS music program, and was the Varsity football team manager. She is a representative for student council and is a class officer with the class of 2007. Katherine has volunteered with her church and youth group, Camp Good News, and has performed at various events. She is a high honors student and an avid babysitter.
