Freeport Community Services holding ‘estate sale’

This Black Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24, the Freeport Community Services’ thrift shop will be holding a holiday “estate sale” from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the former S&K Menswear building at 2 Depot St., in Freeport.

The main thrift shop in the Freeport Community Services building at 53 Depot St. will also be open for all of your holiday shopping needs.

Community Center holding craft fair

The Freeport Community Center’s craft fair is set for Saturday, Dec. 1 from 8 a.m. -3 p.m. with something for everyone on your list: pottery, quilted snowflakes, wooden bowls, fabric bags and more. You can also visit with Santa from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Santa will also be at the Community Center on Sunday, Dec. 2 from 8-10:30 a.m., the price is $5 for an all-you-can eat meal. For more information, call 865-3985, ext. 213.

Freeport winter parking ban begins

The town of Freeport has enacted its annual winter parking ban from now until April 15. According to the town’s Public Works Department, parking is prohibited on all town streets from 11 p.m.-7 a.m.

Annual rabies clinic coming up

The Lisbon Road Animal Hospital, located at 1981 Lisbon Road in Lewiston, will be holding its annual rabies clinic on Saturday, Dec. 1.

The clinic starts at noon. Those interested in bringing in their pet should call 784-5421 for an appointment. The cost is $15 per animal, and dogs should be on leashes and cats in carriers. The clinic is not open to pets under that are under 4 months old or pregnant.
