Women fly fishers
to speak at library

WESTBROOK — Friends of the Presumpscot River presents “Fishing Tales & Tips from a Women’s Perspective” at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 21, at Walker Memorial Library, 800 Main St.

Registered Maine Guide Evelyn King, vice president of Trout Unlimited’s Sebago Chapter, and Nancy Litrocapes will speak and offer tips. Both are members of Maine Women’s Fly Fishers. Hear personal stories about learning to fish, tips on how to get started, best local fishing spots and more.

All are welcome – men and women, beginning and experienced alike.

Dance Center holds
Kids Night Out

WESTBROOK —Drouin Dance Center’s ‘Welcome Back’ Kids Night Out will be held Saturday, Sept. 23, for students, friends and families, ages 3 and up.

Drop-off will be from 4-4:30 p.m., followed by pizza at 6 p.m. and pick-up from 8-8:30 p.m.

WESTBROOK — The Westbrook Historical Society will meet at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St.

ICC fundraiser features
Motor Booty Affair

WESTBROOK — The Intercultural Community Center has scheduled its Fall Fundraiser Gala and Dance Party for Nov. 10.

The event featuring, Motor Booty Affair, will be held from 7-10 p.m. at Seasons Grille & Bar, 155 Riverside St., Portland. It also will include a silent auction, appetizers, prizes and a cash bar.

Tickets, available on Eventbrite, are $53.74 each or $317.49 for a table of six. Prices include surcharges and tax.

Proceeds will benefit the Power School Learning Programs.
