Student addresses SAD 6 board

Nicholas Freeman, a Grade 6 student at Bonny Eagle Middle School, shared with the School Administrative District 6 School Board on Monday  his experiences participating in a national leadership program last summer in Massachusetts.

Freeman attended the National Youth Leadership Pathways in the science, technology, engineering and math program held at Babson College in Boston.

He told of learning about engineering, medical science about the heart, and crime scene investigations. Freeman said he enjoyed the other people he met from around the nation.

After speaking from the public podium at Monday’s School Board meeting, Freeman received applause from the board.

Todd Delaney, a board member from Standish, said he hopes that Freeman would participate in high school with the Bonny Eagle Robotics Team.
