Windham council’s Gleason dies at 67

Windham Town Councilor Tommy Gleason passed away Wednesday afternoon at a New Jersey hospital following a heart attack last week, according to a statement from Town Manager Tony Plante. Gleason was 67.

“Tommy’s humor, generosity of spirit, fierce dedication to the town, and his service on the council will not soon be forgotten,” Plante said in the statement. “We are saddened by his passing and offer our thoughts and prayers for Tommy and deepest sympathies to his family and friends.”

Gleason was first elected in 2010 and served as chairman in 2013, according to the statement.
