The South Portland Red Riots field hockey team (0-7) is still searching for its first win after dropping a 2-0 decision to the Portland Bulldogs (2-2) Friday in Portland.

All of the scoring in the game came in the first half as Portland’s Ashley Olmstead got two goals to lead the Bulldogs to their second victory of the season.

The Riots will look to end their losing streak on Thursday, Sept. 20 when they host Thornton Academy (1-4-1) in a 3:30 p.m. game.

Field Hockey: Red Storm falls to Sanford

The Sanford field hockey team moved to 7-0 Friday with a 3-0 road win at Scarborough, dealing the Red Storm (6-1) its first loss of the season.

Katie Heggerty, Lauren L’Heureux and Kassandra Martin scored the goals for the Redskins.

Scarborough will travel to Westbrook on Thursday, Sept. 20 to take on the Blue Blazes. Following that game, the Storm will square off against Biddeford in Scarborough on Sept. 24 at 3:30 p.m.
