Lions call for classic cars
The Gorham Lions Club is inviting classic car owners and enthusiasts to join the club on Sunday, July 29, for its 11th annual car show from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine, in the parking lot at Gorham High School, 41 Morrill Ave..
“Twenty-one divisions of classic cars, hot rods and trucks will receive first-, second- and third prizes with judging done by the participants,” Ken Aldrich, Lions Club president, said in an announcement.
Spectators are invited at no charge but donations for Lions charities will be gratefully accepted, Aldrich said.
Food and beverages will be available from Troop 73 of the Gorham Boy Scouts, and a local DJ will provide music.

The Jim Gallant Band will be in concert 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, at the municipal gazebo on the lawn at the municipal center, 75 South St.
Parking is along the street or in the municipal lot off Ball Park Road.
Seniors picnic reminder
Lakes Region Senior Center will host its annual summer picnic at the Little Falls Activity Center, 40 Acorn St., with lunch served at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, July 9.
Rippleton Cross will provide the entertainment following lunch.
Cost is $5 and $8 for non members. The public is invited.
