Gorham schools offer help for those without power


GORHAM — In the aftermath of this week’s storm, two public schools will be open  Tuesday afternoon and evening to benefit families left without power.

Superintendent Heather Perry said Gorham Middle School on Weeks Road and Great Falls Elementary School off Sebago Lake Road will be open from 3:30-10 p.m. Oct. 31 “for families to come, warm up, plug in, recharge, shower and get water, if needed.”

At 11 a.m. Tuesday, 3,698 electric cusomers in town remained without electricity, according to the Central Maine Power Co. web site.
