Village Square Fair

The Village Square Fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 11 at the Standish Congregational Church on Oak Hill Road.

Stop by for treats, including apple fritters and cookies, a craft corner, silent auction, luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and more.

Schoolhouse Arts Center

On Friday, Nov. 3, through Sunday, Nov. 5, Standish Schoolhouse Arts Center will be holding performances of “Willy Wonka Kids,” an adaptation of Roald Dahl’s famous story. The show will feature songs from the 1971 film, as well as a number of original pieces.

Performances will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday and  2 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 for adults, $8 for students and seniors, and $5 for children under 5. For more information and to reserve tickets, visit schoolhousearts.org or call 642-3743.

Basketball clinic

Wednesday basketball skills clinics will begin Nov. 8 at Edna Libby School. They will be held from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. and end on Dec. 13.

Sponsored by the Standish Recreation Department, the clinics will teach a wide range of skills, including dribbling, passing and running.

Mystery Lunch

The Standish Recreation Department is hosting a lunch trip for seniors on Nov. 15 from 11 to 1:30 p.m. to a surprise restaurant in the Greater Portland area.
