Cat and dog first aid

The Maine POM Project will host a pet first aid course on Mar. 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Each student will receive a book and a lifetime certificate. The course, open to the public, costs $80 and be held at the Standish Public Safety Department at 175 Northeast Road. Little League baseball evaluations

Standish Little League baseball 2018 majors and minors evaluations will be held on Saturday, March 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Evaluations will take place at Saint Joseph’s College at 278 Whites Bridge Road. For more information, visit

Saint Patrick’s luncheon

The Standish Recreation Department will hold a special luncheon for seniors in celebration of Irish American Heritage month, complete with Saint Patrick’s Day entertainment and a traditional Irish meal. The event will take place at Windham Town Hall from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Transportation from Standish Municipal Center will be provided. The fee for the event is $32. Easter Bunny breakfast

The rec center will hold their annual pancake breakfast and Lions Club’s annual indoor Easter egg hunt on Mar. 24 from 8 to 10 a.m. The Easter Bunny will be at the event. There will also be prizes and games. The breakfast will be $5 for those registered by March 21, $6 for those who register after March 21, and free for children under 2. Schoolhouse Arts Center

The Schoolhouse Arts Center will hold showings of Truly Talented Kids on March 30 and 31 at 7 p.m. This cabaret-style show includes singers, dancers, a local comedian, and more.
