Letter: Town fortunate to have Ganneston on project

As the president and CEO of the Kennebec Valley Chamber of Commerce, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Stacey Morrison of Ganneston Construction. She volunteers her time as chair of the KVCC board of directors, devoting her time and talents to helping others in the region. I have been fortunate to get to know her through this work. She is a role model for business leadership and for community involvement. With discussions ongoing about the New Gloucester public works building, I wanted to share my perspective on Ganneston’s long-established reputation.

Ganneston Construction has been a well-respected, successful business since 1963. Stacey and her team operate Ganneston with the highest level of professionalism and I am happy to know the people of New Gloucester will be benefiting from their decades of experience as they work on the town’s new public works building. Ganneston is the type of company we want working in our communities and in our state. They started locally, have stayed local, and hire local people. Over the past five decades, thanks to their stellar reputation, they have been hired to undertake construction projects of all types throughout the state of Maine.

I have no doubt that as this public works project moves forward, the people of New Gloucester will be pleased with the work done by Ganneston Construction.
