On Wednesday evening, June 8, at 7 p.m., the Naples Public Library will host Marilyn Littlefield, Casco resident and licensed aesthetician, for an informative and free “Managing Healthy Skin through a Lifetime” workshop.
The skin care industry has seen dramatic advances in the last few years. New ingredients and procedures deliver impressive results whether you are dealing with acne, rosacea, dry skin or wrinkles. Anti-aging treatments such as microdermabrasion, chemical peels and microcurrent are among the most sought-after treatments skin care professionals perform.
Topics to be covered in this workshop include anti-aging secrets, skin care regiments for all skin types, cutting edge ingredients, mineral make-up, sun protection and the steps of a good facial.
Ms. Littlefield, who may be most well known to area residents as the long-time Speech and Hearing Specialist for SAD 61, attended Santa Barbara City College and passed the California State Board Exam to become a licensed aesthetician. She continued her education at the International Dermal Institute in Los Angeles and also took courses on ingredients at U.C.L.A. “Upon returning to Maine I applied for my Maine license and received it. In January, I opened a home-based business in Casco called Saving Face offering facial treatments. I love what I do and it’s an exciting time to be an aesthetician,” she says.
