The Town Office, at Mallett Hall, is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday 8:30 a.m.-6:30 and closed Friday.
The Board of Selectmen will meet this summer on Monday, July 18; Monday, Aug. 1; Monday Aug. 15; Monday, Aug. 29. All meetings start at 7 p.m. and are held at Mallett Hall in the Dewitt Meeting Room.

First Parish Congregational Church, 422 Hallowell Road in Pownal, will have the annual Vacation Bible School from Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22, daily from 9-11:15 a.m. Children ages 5-12 are welcome. There will be games, Bible lessons and stories, crafts, and snacks. The community is welcome.

First Parish Congregational Church, Route 9 in Pownal, will be having four church suppers this year: July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 17.
The menu includes baked beans and spaghetti. Seating is at 5 and 6 p.m. Tickets are $9 and $4 for children 5-12. Children under 5 are free. To reserve tickets call Lois at 688-4433
Food pantry on Wednesdays
The North Pownal United Methodist Church Food Pantry on 851 Lawrence Road is now open every Wednesday from 9:30-11:30 a.m. The pantry never knows from week to week what it will be getting. Fellowship, coffee and snacks are served before food distribution. The pantry helps those in need and welcomes everyone. Donations are appreciated. The church office number is 688-4938.
First Parish Congregational Church of Pownal hosts a Men’s Breakfast the first Saturday of each month, at 7:30 a.m., at the church, open to any men who want to come, regardless of affiliation. The Rev. John Wentworth leads the discussions. There will be no men’s breakfast in August.
Prayer, Praise and Worship, with the Rev. Raymond St. Pierre, is held every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., at the North Pownal United Methodist Church, 851 Lawrence Road. For more information, call St. Pierre at 837-0682 or Kim Drew, church secretary, at 837-2938.
