WINDHAM — Riding to the Top Therapeutic Riding Center is celebrating its 25th anniversary with an open house on May 20.
The event, to be held from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the organization’s farm at 14 Lilac Drive in Windham, will feature tours, demonstrations and games.
“We were founded by a group of passionate volunteers and generous donors and we continue to thrive because of our community supporters,” said Executive Director Sarah Bronson in a press release.
Founded in 1993, Riding to the Top provides equine-assisted support to both children and adults who are dealing with a variety of physical, emotional, mental and social challenges.
According to the press release, more than 250 clients visit the organization each year. Riding to the top has 18 horses and more than 160 volunteers — it receives no state or federal funding, the release says.
