Turkey supper – Saturday, Oct. 12, 4:45-6 p.m. Highland Lake Grange No. 87, corner of Route 302 and Hardy Road. Westbrook. Roasted turkey, potatoes, stuffing, vegetables, bread, beverages and dessert. $8, $4.

Bean supper – Saturday, Oct 14, 4:30-6 p.m., Buxton Center Baptist Church, Route 22, Buxton. Two kinds of beans, red hot dogs, chop suey, cole slaw, homemade biscuits, desserts and beverage. $8, $3.

Seniors luncheon – Monday, Oct. 14, noon, Lakes Region Senior Center at Sunset Ridge Golf Links, 771 Cumberland St. (River Rd), Westbrook. Fish and corn chowders, chili, corn bread, bread, crackers, condiments, beverage and desert. October Birthdays will be celebrated. A donation of $5 is suggested.

VFW meal – Wednesday, Oct. 16, 5-6:30 p.m., VFW Post 932, 50 Peary Terrace, South Portland. Chicken Parmesan on baked ziti/salad/Italian bread/and dessert. $7.

Free meal – Wednesday, Oct. 16, 5-6 p.m., My Place Teen Center, 755 Main St, Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food Programs and hosted by Trinity Lutheran Church and the teen center. Use Foster Street entrance; handicapped accessible.

Bean-hole bean supper – Saturday, Oct. 19, 4:30 p.m., United Church of Christ at North Gorham, corner of Standish Neck and North Gorham roads, Gorham. Three kinds of beans baked, rolls, cole slaw, salads, brown bread, pies, tea, coffee or punch. $9, $4.

Bean supper – Saturday, Oct. 19, 5-6 p.m., Peoples United Methodist Church, 310 Broadway, South Portland. Baked beans, casseroles, homemade pies and more. $8; $17, family.
