Community meal – Thursday, May 12, noon, Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St., Westbrook. Meatloaf, $5.

Chowder luncheon – Friday, May 13, and every Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. Bowl of haddock chowder with crackers, $9; or lobster roll lunch with chips, $10; cup of chowder, $6; combination lobster roll with cup opf chowder, $13. All lunches include fresh baked bread, pickle, cookie and beverage; and take outs available.

Pancake breakfast – Saturday, May 14, 7:30-10 a.m., Stroudwater Baptist Church, 1729 Congress St., Portland. All-you-can-eat breakfast to benefit Opeartion Christmas Child; donations only.

Bean supper – Saturday, May 14, 4:30-6 p.m.,Buxton Center Baptist Church, Route 22, Buxton. Two kind of beans, chop suey, cole slaw, red hot dogs, homemade biscuits, dessert and beverage. $8, $3.

Bean supper – Saturday, May 14, 5-6 p.m., Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St., Westbrook. Two kinds of baked beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, American chop suey, bread & butter, pickles, homemade pies and beverages. $8, $3.

VFW meal – Wednesday, May 18, 5-6:30 p.m., VFW Post 832, Peary Terrace, South Portland. Beef stew, rolls salad and dessert. $7.

Free meal – Wednesday, May 18, 5-6 p.m., Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St., Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food programs and Trinity Lutheran Church. Handicapped accessible and free parking.

Bean supper – Saturday, May 21, 5-6 p.m., Amvets Post 5, Route 100, New Gloucester. Two kinds of beans, brown bread, homemade biscuits, cole slaw, American chop suey and two tables of desserts. $7, $3.

Bean supper – Saturday May 21, 5-6 p.m., Peoples United Methodist Church, 310 Broadway, South Portland.  Baked beans, casseroles, homemade pies and more.   $8; $17, family.
