Community meal – Thursday, Sept. 22, noon, Westbrook-Warren Congregational Church, 810 Main St., Westbrook. Chicken pie; suggested donation, $5.

Chowder luncheon – Friday, Sept. 23, and every Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. Bowl of haddock chowder with crackers, $9; or lobster roll lunch with chips, $10; cup of chowder, $6; combination lobster roll with cup opf chowder, $13. All lunches include fresh baked bread, pickle, cookie and beverage. Takeouts available.

Bean supper  – Saturday, Sept. 24, 4:45-6 p.m., Highland Lake Congregational Church, 1303 Bridgton Road (Route 302), Westbrook. Beans, ham, hot dogs, potato salad, cole slaw, biscuits, beverages and dessert. $8, $3.

Haddock dinner – Saturday, Sept. 24, 5 p.m., Living Waters Church, 197 Parker Farm Road, intersection routes 112 and 22 ( near Plummer’s Market), Buxton. Haddock, assorted casseroles, salads, veggies, desserts and beverages. Suggested donations $8, $4; and family, $20.

Harvest supper – Saturday, Sept. 24, 5-6 p.m ., Casco Village Church, UCC, 941 Meadow Road (Route 121), Casco. Locally raised ham and beans, squash, vegetables, casseroles, apple crisp and other desserts. $8, $5.

Bean supper – Saturday, Sept. 24, 5-6:30 p.m., First Parish Congregational Church, 116 Main St., Yarmouth. Three kinds of beans, cole slaw, macaroni & cheese, hot dogs, homemade biscuits and pies, and beverages. $8, $4.

Free spaghetti supper – Monday, Sept. 26, 5-6 p.m., Standish Congregational Church, Oak Hill Road, Standish. Free and open to the public.

Free meal – Wednesday, Sept. 28, 5-6 p.m., Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St., Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food programs and Trinity Lutheran Church. Handicapped accessible and free parking.

VFW meal – Wednesday, Sept. 28, 5-6:30 p.m., VFW Post 832, Peary Terrace, South Portland. Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, stuffing, veggies rolls, and dessert. $7.

Spaghetti dinner and dance performances  Saturday, Oct. 1, 5-5:45, and 7-7:45, Westbrook-Warren Church, 810 Main St., Westbrook. Sponsored by Drouin Dance Center to benefit company families with competition fees, costumes and other costs. Spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert and beverage.
