Free dinner – Thursday, Aug. 10, 5:30-6:30 p.m., St. Peters Episcopal Church, 678 Washington St., Portland.

Chowder luncheon – Friday, Aug. 11, and every Friday, 11 a.m.-1 p.m., North Deering Congregational Church, 1364 Washington Ave., Portland. Bowl of haddock chowder with crackers, $9; or lobster roll lunch with chips, $10; cup of chowder, $6; combination lobster roll with cup of chowder, $13. All lunches include fresh baked bread, pickle, cookie and beverage. Takeouts available.

Breakfast buffet Saturday, Aug. 12, 7:30-9:30 a.m., West Cumberland United Methodist Church, 5 Upper Methodist Road (corner of Blackstrap Road), Cumberland. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage, baked beans, muffins, fresh fruit and juice, coffee and tea. $7, $3. Takeout available.

Bean supper  Saturday, Aug. 12, 4:30-6 p.m., Acacia Lodge, Route 136, Durham. Beans, hot dogs, American chop suey, assorted pies, corn bread, rolls and cole slaw. All you can eat, $8.

Bean supper  Saturday, Aug. 12, 5-6:30 p.m., Casco Masonic Lodge, 20 Mill St., Yarmouth. Three kinds of beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, macaroni & cheese, homemade biscuits and pies. $10, $4.

Free meal  Wednesday, Aug. 16, 5-6 p.m., Westbrook Community Center, 426 Bridge St., Westbrook. Sponsored in collaboration with Wayside Food programs and Trinity Lutheran Church. Handicapped accessible and free parking.

Roast beef dinner  Saturday, Aug. 19, 5-6 p.m., Raymond Village Community Church, 27 Main St., Raymond. $10, $5.

Bean supper  Saturday, Aug. 19, 5-6 p.m., Amvets Post 6, 1095 Lewiston Road, New Gloucester. Baked beans, American chop suey, cole slaw, red hot dogs, biscuits and pies. $8, $3.

Supper to go Saturday, Aug. 19, 10 a.m.-noon, Veterans Park, Route 114, East Sebago. Sponsored by Sebago Center Community Church. Beans, macaroni & cheese, chicken casserole, shepherd’s pie, American chop suey and chili; all homemade. Meals for two people, $10. Pre-order by Aug. 16 by calling 329-5690. Biscuits, cornbread, muffins and dessert also available for purchase at pickup.

Bean-hole bean supper – Saturday, Aug. 19, 4:30-6 p.m., United Church of Christ at North Gorham, 4 Standish Neck Road, Gorham. Three kinds of beans, hot dogs, brown bread, cole slaw, potato salad, rolls, coffee, punch and homemade pies. $9, $4.
