SANFORD–A trio of Scots – brothers Colby and Caleb Frost, and Brian Dupuis – finished in the top three at Class A Wrestling States on Feb. 17.

Colby Frost at 106 took second overall. In the Championship Finals, Frost fell by tech fall 22-7 to Skowhegan’s Jake Craig. Frost pinned Jon Lujan (Messalonskee) in 1:05 in the opening round, then defeated Calvin Peck (Nokomis) by tech fall, 15-0, in the semis.

Caleb Frost, at 138, also took second overall. Frost succumbed to Dave Spinney (Marshwood) 4-3 in overtime in the finals. He crushed Mason Savary (Noble) by tech fall, 17-0, in the quarters, and pinned Duncan McGilvery at 2:59 in the semis. Notably, Frost also picked up his 100th win in the course of the day. (100 wins is a huge milestone for a high school wrestler.)

Dupuis, at 220, finished third. Dupuis bested Jarrod Tayler (Oxford Hills) 8-5 in the quarters, but fell by pin at 1:30 to Nick Works (Sanford) in the semis. From there, Dupuis shuffled into the consolation bracket, where he upended both Mohamid Aljendi (Cony) and Taylor (again) for the bronze.
